Centuries ago, a volcanic eruption followed by a devastating explosion sculptured the sharp cliffs and brought about this unique spectacle of Santorini, the Caldera.

On this sunlit island, Santorini, one of the most beautiful islands in the world, in the picturesque village of Firostefani, one can find HOTEL IRA. Situated a quiet and tranquil location, in close vicinity to the volcano and perched high on the very edge of the Caldera, the hotel offers a spectacular panoramic view of the volcanic isles, the far horizon and the deep blue sea.

We have built, rennovated and upgraded, with all respect to the local architecture, a complex of luxurious, traditionally styled standard double rooms, apartments and suites, IRA HOTEL.

OUR LOCATION :
Firostefani, a peaceful village built on the rim of the Caldera cliff, is 200 metres above the sea. It offers with a panoramic view of the sea and the volcano. Just a few minutes walk from the island’s capital, Fira, but away from the busy center, its location is convenient for shopping and night life.

IN HOUSE ASSISTANCE & ON THE PREMISES :
The reception desk will be happy to provide you with useful information and to assist you in hiring a car or moped, to arrange excursions to the ancient ruins or cruises to the volcano and the neighboring islands. We can also arrange reservations for underwater diving and sightseeing with our local submarine (the only one of its kind in the Mediterranean). Ask us to confirm your return flights, or even reserve your restaurant table.

Fira main town can be reached by walking along the path along the edge of the cliff. The view is spectacular.

ALL ABOUT HOTEL ACCOMMODATION :
The hotel is built on different levels, following the cliff s descending incline.

In a perfect blend of luxury, comfort and tradition, each room or apartment is elegantly decorated with local antique furniture and handicrafts, in accordance with the features of the island, combining a traditional environment with all the amenities of a modern accommodation complex.

Each unit has its private balcony overlooking the volcano and the Aegean Sea, and can accommodate 2-4 persons.

Our units fall into the categories of Standard Double room, Superior Double and Suite.

The Standard Double Room :
The Standard Double Room consists of double beds, bathroom with shower w/c, balcony or veranda with sea view.

The Superior Double :
The superior double consists of open plan bedroom, sitting room with traditionaLlY built in sofa at a different ground level, shower/ wc, balcony with sea view.

The Suite :
The Suite consists of a bedroom sitting room, office space with writing desk, bathroom with shower w/c, balcony with sea view.

Most superior double and suites have split-level bedrooms and sitting rooms.

OUR UNITS HAVE :
Individually controlled A/C, Safe deposit box, Telephone & internet hook up, Satellite colour TV, Private shower room with hairdryer accessories, Private balcony, Refrigerator.
