Car Rental Terms & Conditions

Car rental services of the Travel World House are offered by World Car Rental, the subsidiary company of the Travel World House.

Please note also the following: In case you cancel your reservation up to 2 weeks prior the pre-arranged date you will lose the 50% of the total amount. In case you cancel your reservation less than 2 weeks prior the pre-arranged date you will lose the entire amount of your reservation. The timetable of pick up and delivery time on 24-hour basis (from 01:00 to 24:00).

1. AGE OF RENTER AND DRIVERS
At least 21 years old, regarding the categories A, B, C, C1. As for the categories D, E, F at least 23 years old.

2. DRIVER’S LICENCE
The driver’s license should have been issued at least one year prior to the date of rental.

3. MODE OF PAYMENT
Renting the vehicle always requires a VISA, MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS Credit Card, with which WORLD CAR RENTAL collaborates, even if the renter settles his vehicle in cash.

4. INSURANCE
a) The renter of the WORLD CAR RENTAL vehicle is covered for:
Death and physical injuries of third parties, as well as material damages to third parties up to the sum of 500.000 Euros.
b) The renter is responsible for any theft or damage occured to the rented vehicle up to its total purchase price. The renter pays for the damage of the WORLD CAR RENTAL car, regardless of blame and the sum is refunded to the renter when and as long as WORLD CAR RENTAL is compensated.
c) MIXED INSURANCE. (CDW)
Mixed Insurance limits the accountability of the renter for damages of the rented vehicle to 600 Euros for categories A, B, C, C1, with corresponding financial surchange of 9.00 Euros daily to 11.00 Euros for categories D, E, F with corresponding financial surchange of 15.00 Euros daily.
d) ADDITIONAL INSURANCE COVERAGE. (SUPER CDW)
The above non deductable sums mentioned in paragraph C, may be limited to 80.00 Euros and 160.00 Euros respectively, as long as the renter purchases additional insurance (SUPER C.D.W) with daily financial surcharge of 4.00 Euros for categories A, B, C, C1, and 6.00 Euros for categories D, E, F.
e) INSURANCE AGAINST THEFT. (TP)
Insurance against theft covers the renter for total or partial loss of the vehicle, limiting his accountability to the sums of paragraph (C) with corresponding financial surchange of 3.00 Euros for categories A, B, C, C1 and 7.00 Euros for categories D, E, F.

CAUTION! The non-deductable sums of the Mixed Insurance and of the Additional Insurance Coverage are paid by the renter, regardless of his responsibility. When and if WORLD CAR RENTAL is reimbursed for the damage of the vehicle, the corresponding sum will be refunded to the renter.

f) NO INSURANCE IS VALID:
- For any damage / loss occurred to the vehicle during its transportation by SHIP.
- For any damage / loss occurred if it is determined that the driver is under the influence of alcohol or narcotic substances.
- For any damage / loss occured if it is determined that the driver violated the Code of Driving Circulation.
- For any damage / loss occurred by driving in non asphalted roads.
- For damages caused to the lower part of the vehicle, to the tyres, the mirrors and the antenna.
- For personal items found in the vehicle.
- For accidents caused by a driver who has not been declared in the rental agreement.

The damage and the loss of the vehicle are paid even if the renter is covered insurancewise by his Credit Card. In this case, he is called upon to pay to WORLD CAR RENTAL the entire cost of repair or replacement of the vehicle, which he will then claim himself from his card.

5. PETROL
a) All the vehicles of WORLD CAR RENTAL consume UNLEADED petrol. The renter is not permitted to fill the tank of the vehicle with any other type of petrol.
b) The vehicle is delivered to the renter with the tank full of petrol.
c) The renter is called up to return the vehicle just as it was received, with the tank full of petrol. In case the renter returns the vehicle with less petrol than when it was received, he shall be charged with 5.00 Euros in addition to the cost of petrol that has been consumed.

6. DELIVERY – COLLECTION
a) Delivery & collection outside the offices of WORLD CAR RENTAL and within the limits of the city is not charged.
b) Delivery & collection beyond the limits of the city up to 20 klm, extra charge 15.00 Euros. For each delivery and collection at the International Athens Airport El. Venizelos, extra charge 25.00 Euros.
c) Delivery & collection in an other city extra charge 0.45 Euros per kilometers.
d) Delivery & collection outside working hours, extra charge 12.00 Euros (22.00 – 07.00).

7. TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS
Fines and any other consequences totally and exclusively the renter.

8. INDISPENSIBLE CONSENT OF WORLD CAR RENTAL
Written consent of WORLD CAR RENTAL for:
a) Transport of the vehicle by ship
b) Driving the vehicle beyond the Greek borders

9. SECOND DRIVER
Charge of 2.00 Euros daily with maximum charge 10 days. The second driver should definitely meet the terms and conditions similar to the first renter driver.

10. CHILDREN SEATS & SNOW CHAINS
Charge of 2.00 Euros daily with maximum charge 10 days. They should be mentioned in the booking.

11. EXPENSES FOR ACCIDENT DOSSIER
In case of accident, there is an additional charge of 30.00 Euros to cover administrative costs paid by the renter driver regardless of the blame. This sum is not refunded.

12. TAXES
All the above-mentioned charges are subject to V.A.T.

ATTENTION!!
IN CASE OF ACCIDENT, THE RENTER DRIVER IS CALLED UPON, REGARDLESS OF ACCOUNTABILITY, TO FILL IN THE DECLARATION OF ACCIDENT FORM WITH ARTICLE K 70 OF THE GREEK LEGISLATION. FOR ANY DISPUTE WHICH MAY ARRISE BETWEEN LESSOR AND RENTAL WILL BE SETTLED BEFORE THE COMPARTENT COURTS OF ATHENS.
