Package Description::
Day 1: Transfer from Athens International Airport to the hotel. Day of leisure.

Day 2: Depart for the TEMPLE OF OLYMPIAN ZEUS.

Proceed to the PANATHINAIKO STADIUM cradle of the first Olympic Games took place in 1896 (short stop).

Pass by the Prime’s Ministers residence, the Ex Royal Palace, (guarded by colorful Evzones) Zappion (Conference and Exhibition Hall), the National Garden, the Adrian’s Arc, the St. Paul’s Church, the Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown soldier, the Schielman’s House (Numismatic Museum).

Then to the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Old Parliament, the Constitution Square, the Russian Orthodox Church, ACROPOLIS.

Free time for lunch.

We continue for a wonderful drive along the scenic coastal road which affords a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf, passing through some of Athens most beautiful suburbs (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza) to CAPE SOUNION.

There you will visit the 5th century B.C. TEMPLE of POSEIDON with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the world (on a clear day you can see at least seven islands). The precipice is a sheer 197 foot drop to the sea.

Return to the hotel. Rest of the day free.

Day 3: We pass by the OLYMPIC STADIUM to see the Athens 2004 Olympics main venue. We continue for the CORINTH CANAL (short stop).

Drive to EPIDAURUS and visit the Ancient theatre, world famous for its outstanding acoustics. Proceed to NAUPLIA and through the plain of ARGOS arrive to MYCENAE.

Visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. In the afternoon depart for OLYMPIA, the birth place of the Olympic Games, through the cities of Tripolis and MEGALOPOLIS.
Overnight stay in Olympia.

Day 4: Visit the archaeological site with the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the archaeological Museum.

Depart via PATRAS to RION, cross the Corinthian bay by the new bridge to ANTIRION. Pass by the city of NAFPAKTOS and from there on, along the coastal road to DELPHI, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. In the afternoon visit the picturesque mountain village of ARACHOVA. Overnight stay in Delphi.

Day 5: Visit the archaeological site and the MUSEUM of Delphi. Depart for KALAMBAKA via Central Greece (short stop by Lamia). Overnight stay in Kalambaka (a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks and crowned by the METEORA Monasteries).

Day 6: Leave in the morning for nearby Meteora to visit the BYZANTINE MONASTERIES. Return to Athens passing by the heroic monument of Leonidas at THERMOPYLAE. Return to the hotel in Athens.

Day 7: Day of leisure. Transfer from the hotel to Athens International Airport.
